Abstract:
Because of the extensive absorption of the western theory and the theoretical framework of analysis, the aesthetic system of Zhu Guangqian reflects the distinctive characteristics of "western style". However, when selecting, admitting, and integrating the western theories, Zhu Guangqian accepted the control of traditional Chinese culture and classical oriental aesthetics in spirit. In Literary Psychology, he set the doctrine of the golden mean as the fundamental mental structure. In addition, he interpreted western terminology with Chinese poetics category and transformed the views of "intuition", "distance", "empathy", etc. by oriental "nature of mind", which constructs modern aesthetic buildings with both Chinese and western styles. In this process, the Confucianism life character of "mutual aid" gained its modern revival.
